The networking is ok, but the /etc/resolv.conf is deleted before every
command execution. As a workaround, you can rewrite it and chain a
series of commands:

I booted up from the live disk again (18.04). The lock screen button
does work. When locking the screen, the screen does go dark after about
a minute and stays dark. I tested the regular display power management
again, it doesn't stay dark.

Hey, all the time I'm performing a rebooting my remote servers I should
wait 30 sec more to connect to them. This is not normall and never been
before. It shoud be optional: who needs it to appear at each boot, let
him turn it on, but it not should be the default behaviour.

When we enter the edit option / preferences / shortcuts the "Hide and
Show menu bar" option is not enabled, much less let us return to the
default.
As per attached image, I changed by mistake and can not revert, but

Even though you have started and marked it manually, it will not stay if you
need to reopen it.
