A pair of headphones was always plugged at the front.
Now I connected speakers in the connector line on the back, and it works
effectively.
The front headphones also work with the speakers connected behind. Apparently

This was my fifth attempt to install MATE 20.10 on a Dell laptop using

1) Using James Chambers unofficial 64-bit build
Moving to 64 bit gets things moving, but after a several minutes the host
controller would eventually hangup on me. I can't help but wonder if some
32bit ints are being blown
I found the solution installing screen-resolution-extra 0.18 from
https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/screen-resolution-extra using dbkg -i
place where u downloaded deb file.

activated using Dconf Editor. Set the parameter
'org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock' to be equal to 'cycle-windows'.

Than, choosed an grub content form the net well it's not perfect...

Tested on Xubuntu 20.04 with gnome-session-canberra and yaru-theme-sound
packages installed
The gnome-session-canberra package has a /usr/share/gnome/autostart
/libcanberra-login-sound.desktop but it will not run. I disabled all of
the below entries in the file and it still
Testing Lubuntu groovy amd64 daily (2020-07-18)
Tested on my 2 older machines and can confirm successful boots
Dell [Inspiron] 3521, (i3-3217U, 4GB, Intel HD Graphics 4000, Intel HM76
chipset 10/100 Mbps ethernet controller integrated on system board, WiFi
802.11 b/g/N, Bluetooth 4.0, 500 GB hd)
