kernels do not have CONFIG_MICROCODE_OLD_INTERFACE enabled, while they

Ok, so the mount table output confirms that your LXD default storage
pool isn't visible in the host's mount table, so that's not what's
triggering nautilus.
Also, if that was the case, I'd have seen it on my own machine a long
time ago ;)

Yeah..I need the full output. A suggestion: you seems to have 2 devices
(sda and sdb) at the kdump failure point, right? So, you could try to
mount one of them, and save the dmesg, like "dmesg > /mnt/dmesg.kdump" .

Kernel stops boot with panic; message is "can't find init". A manual
addition on the kernel boot parameter line via /etc/default/grub doesn't
help. It looks like the kernel can't access the file system.
I managed to find a core dump for one of those crashes.

I started Ubiquity from an USB stick where Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy was installed
and updated.
I presume it crached because I don't have a normal Live USB plugged.
The problem was that I couldn't see, mount or partition the RAID volume with
the default Live USB, what wasn't the
Marking public as this is already known; might as well avoid dupes..
