When I try to launch setzer (62-1) in ubuntu 24.04, it crashes, both GUI
and through the terminal. I get the following message when trying to
launch from the terminal.
What happened:
In the terminal, we see,

Oh boy, so I've spent the past two days recording observations on this
issue, and I see no clear patterns at all. I've created a zipfile with a

the linux-firmware package does not contains any update to the amdgpu
vcn firmware from upstream. So, if you updated, you have to re-copy the

I'm also affected by this bug. Log out and log in again fixes it, but
after restarting the system it's broken again. Apps like transmission,
vlc, libreoffice are affected. Nautilus, Rhythmbox or terminal have
borders and shadow around it looking as it should.

it cropped up AFTER 18.04 lts. i have not tried any non buntu based
