Please try this patchset, that works for Lenovo Legion S7 16IAH7. I got sound 
myself for the first time a couple of days ago with it (tested on  6.8.7). 
although the volume is quite low (I cannot compare with windows, never ran it), 
it seems to work flawlessly.
The missing part is really tiny, maybe this will land in mainline soon.
