I can confirm that diffuse from noble-proposed has fixed the bug for me.
Test done:
installed diffuse and tried to execute it and confirmed that it still
fails.
Added noble-proposed to apt sources.
install diffuse from noble-proposed.
Followed the testplan and used diffuse to view the differen
