I updated a Thinkpad T14 AMD Gen 2 from 23.10 to 24.04. Since the
update, WiFi doesn't automatically connect at login or when resuming
from sleep if the network is secured with a password.

secured WiFi networks, not open ones. It seemed plausible that they are
related, as the password for the WiFi network needs to be retrieved
somewhere (the keyring, I assumed). But I will report a different bug

Yeah, that's right. I see now that the problem is that the window losses focus

I disabled all extensions but ubuntu-dock (I need to be able to click on
the grid apps icon to trigger the bug). The delay it still there. Also,
it seems to happen under X11 and under Wayland.

Can confirm it is still not working. I don't like the idea of using a
ppa in software as sensitive as a browser. But also, vaapi acceleration
makes a really important deference, specially in a laptop. The snap was
a great solution, it is a shame it is not longer working.

Volume and screen brightness

On boot, the volume and screen brightness sliders on the status menu are
at their minimum value, despite both volume and screen brightness being
set at a different level (as expected, the same levels they were on last
shutdown).
Changing volume or brightness with keyboard
I tried that to no avail. I don't see any event at all on gnome-calendar
despite having many in my google account.
I also tried logout and then login on Online Accounts in gnome-settings, but
calendar is still empty.

Gimp instead of eog as it was in eoan.

The DNS server pushed by OpenVPN server is not being added to clients.

Sorry I didn't answer before. The script by @rasch seems to have solved
the issue for me. I didn't have any problem with WiFi since using it
almost two weeks ago.
