It's due to gtk-theme-config - on using it, it overwrites
~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css, and this is where the errors are coming from.

When using gtk-theme-config, the css file for gtk-3.0
(~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css) is incorrectly modified. For example, one
part of the file may say (vicinity of line 27, in this case):

Oh dear, the problem still hasn't been fixed, and it seems that the
downgrade no longer works with Lucid Lynx. When trying to install the
old driver, it complains that it conflicts with xserver-xorg-core
because it contains xserver-xorg-input-4.
This is now, as of 10.04, a problem that has no

there. Hasn't been fixed.
I haven't tried testing to see if it can now be fixed by various command

Intrepid. My touchpad is an ALPS type touchpad. In an effort to fix it
