Just happened to me right after using Google Earth (which I installed
via make-googleearth-package, installing first ALL required dependencies
- quite a lot). I quitted GEarth, and Unity 2D crashed for a few
seconds.

The summary says it all... I have a problem with that key. I can get
other combinations properly, like: á, à, ä, â... but pressing the
combination Alt gr + 4, writes the tilde ~ all of a sudden. It
should wait for another input (a, for example), and then prompt the
result: ã.
Thank you for your answer. I'm afraid, however, that the bug is still
there. Not only it didn't work, but it did mess up my keyboard. With the
compose key, the tilde just disappears from where it should be (couldn't
guess where it moved to, pressed every key...), and so do other keys

I happen to have had the same problem in Skype for months - it's still
there, and it's a bit annoying. It was a Ibus related issue, but it
doesn't look like it's the case this time.
Furthermore, I have two computers with 11.04 beta, and in my laptop I
didn't have this issue while searching using

This has been affecting me for a long time. Finally, I see I'm not
alone! I'm using the latest Ubuntu, and it has been like this for weeks.
I'm having this issue in two different computers, in a widescreen laptop
and a PC with a 4:3 monitor (different resolutions, that's my point). I

I updated to Maverick yesterday. After that, Ubuntu wouldn't initialize
X because of this error. I could fix it doing this:
1) FailsafeX in the newest kernel: restore Xorg.conf from scratch, then
restart X.
With this, I was able to start Ubuntu normally, but the 3d effects were
disabled because

Hello amdlin. You are right, TS shouldn't produce Ц. I'll just try to
get used to writing C instead of TS! Anyway, the SJ thing isn't fixed
yet, and I'm using lucid currently... will this be fixed in the
repositories in a near future?

Tried this IBUS Translit thing today, for my Russian studies, and the
bug is still there. As amdlin says, this should be easy to solve. I
would support the shch thing, because it's the most common in
translit, but maybe also the w could be used.
By the way: shouldn't TS produce Ц as well?
