I used the synaptic package manager to completely uninstall Samba4 after
my upgrade. It had been installed with the previous version of Ubuntu.
I was even geting Samba4 errors when re-installing gEDA and gResistor,
which slhould not have happened. I refreshed the synaptic package
manage
I have completely removed Samba4 using the Synaptic Package Manager. I
then successfully reinstalled Samba4. Now I can connect to Windows
machines in my network. gEDA and gResistor seemed to need Samba4, and
would not install. They now install. The problem seems to be solved.
