switches to add debug symbols, apparently the build process did not add them.
I can also confirm that the crash does not happen with Firefox (I tested

Linux build does not have debug symbols enabled, I'm recompiling the
package to see if I can get a proper backtrace.

developers' responsibility to choose the correct compiler. I don't know

I have done some quick tests in Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot (with Software
Center 5.0.1.4); opening System Settings-Universal Access and changing
the font size there changes the font size in all parts of Software
Center.
I'll test with Natty (11.04) in the following days.

I had a look at your patch. The fix should be right, however the format
is not correct - see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToFix for a
quick, hands-on guide about working on a fix and getting it accepted.
@Shih-Yuan: I guess you're right, especially because this very same bug
was experienced by a Portuguese user (bug #883796), unfortunately I was
not able to reproduce it at the time.
