Hi,
I think I have the same issue. There are two custom launchers in my
Unity bar (migrated from 10.10, but I think that's not relevant). Each
launcher opens rdesktop with a different IP address; let's say for
Computer1 and Computer2.
If a click on the launcher for "rdesktop Computer1" the applic
Spoke too soon.
Unfortunately the problem is still there.
I'm not able to do much troubleshooting on this but if anybody wants logs or
config files I'm more that happy to provide those from my system.

After performing some clean-up of my installed packages the problem
seems to have disappeared.
I can't tell for sure, but it seems to be related to the removal of the
mutter packages (probably still there from a Gnome Shell installation).

Hi,
I don't think this problem is exclusively related to Firefox. I get incomplete
characters in almost all applications.
Unfortunately, it's quite inconsistent and "broken" characters are not always
the same or at the same zoom/size.
Please see attached screen shot where you can see broken cha
Hi,
I still have the "no sound" problem with ALC268 but you guys seem to be
focused on the mic problem. Does it mean that the sound problem has now
been fixed? What steps should I follow in order to get the sound
working?
Thank you for your help.

Hi,
I just wanted to say that this problem has not appeared again. Since I
fixed the "ghost" screen issue resume has been working fine.
Not sure if it's worth keeping the bug open in order to investigate the
ghost screen problem since I haven't been able to reproduce it.

Well, something has changed. The X terminal is back on F7; but still not

I restarted and cycled through the Ctrl-Alt-Fx combinations:

F9-F12 -> blank screen
I went back to F7 and Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to restart X: worked.

Hi Magnus,
I will double check the behavior regarding your questions. In any case,
I can tell you up front that the computer is quite responsive after

I have to say that for a few days now the "backlight off/blank screen"
