My initial attachement seems to have disappeared for unknown reasons. So
here is a fresh screen of the problem happening.

a reboot. It's weird that your solution doesn't work on my computer if
we had the same initial problem.

Do you need some info, log file or anything else? 4 years after the
report, this is still an active bug that completely freeze a copy of
files (several dozen of .jpg files in my case and many others).
I'm surprised that this bug is unassigned.

I didn't have any crash since the installation of the ppa. It seems to
work perfectly.
Maybe it will happen in the next few days but still, I didn't have such
a fluent utilisation of evolution since weeks. I sent several mails
without any crash.
I'm curious of what you did. What was the problem?

Binary package hint: nautilus
I wanted to compare date of files for a script, and I test someting.
I created a new folder, whose date is correct. Inside this folder, I
created a new text file, and the date of this file is 28 june 2008. In
fact, today is june 27 2009 !!
Yes, the bug is reproductible. Steps are detailed in my first post. You
just have to create a file using a template (or model, don't know the
exact word in english).
And the date will be the date of the template model, and do not
represent the time at wich you have created your new file.

what did you changed between theses few days?
I can't say the configuration to do it because as far as I can check, I
