I am affected with 11.10.
I just discovered that my Rhythmbox used 1.8 GB of memory.
I then killed it and started it again. I notice that skipping to or
playing a new song eats up memory. If I skip to a next song, about 25 MB
of memory are consumed and not properly released anymore. So if I clic

art plugin, which is enabled.

No, I can not confirm this. "Can not" in the sense that I am now running
a freshly installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

I don't think this is of low importance, as it practically renders
rhythmbox useless for me on the 64-bit system. It runs fine on a 32-bit
machine.

I installed and ran Valgrind, and tried to follow your instructions. Rhythmbox
does not crash, so I just let it run for a while and then closed the program. I
also started a song and stopped it.
The log grew to 2.5 GB...
I then killed rhythmbox and restarted it, just letting it "idle" over
