Agree with Tormod Volden : the live CD should not modify the hardware clock.

I can reproduce that easily on a Lenovo T61 notebook. But I don't think if it
has something to do with the hardware.
This is how to reproduce :
- boot on the liveCD without pluging the computer to the Internet. In a
terminal, the "date" command outputs something like "16:12:41 (UTC+)"
- conne
I also noticed this behavior with Karmic beta, and with Karmic Release
Candidate.
This is bad because running a live CD is supposed to be completely harmless for
a computer.
I would expect my computer to be in the exact same state as before running the
liveCD

As everybody else here, the 2.6.24-20.38 kernel puts me in low graphics mode.
I have a nvidia Geforce 6200 SE graphic card. I use the proprietary drivers

my xorg.conf manually.

The 2.6.24-20.38 kernel now boots fine : the current problem seems to be
resolved in my case (Athlon XP 3200+).
But I have exactly the same issue with the graphic card : flickering then low
resolution.

Public bug reported:
When OpenJDK java web start is used, it can not open some jnlp files.
For example, you can try the following ones :

If you open them through firefox, it downloads the necessary jars
You're right : it works in gutsy alpha tribe 2.
But it still doesn't work on my feisty after entering your commands. I have the
same behavior, and the same error message in /var/log/cups/error_log
The version of gs-gpl is currently 8.54 on feisty. Perhaps is it corrected
between 8.54 and 8.60?

this script seems to work fine on my Ubuntu 6.10. I upgraded it to 7.04
yesterday and it still works fine.
Hope you will have enough feedback to upload this patch for everyone.
