on a university wifi system. It seems that whenever Ubuntu jumps on a
network with more than a few people on it, this problem crops up. It's

I'm having what may be a related problem. I frequently can't connect
with my broadcom 4313, and when connected the internet essentially
doesn't work. This also did not occur on previous Ubuntu versions or on
a Windows install.

times are one of the big focuses of the latest computers and OSs like
the Air and Google's Chrome OS netbook. Not being able to type in your
information for 4 or 5 seconds and having to hit several keys to get the

However, given that the video experience with Nvidia can be pretty awful
otherwise, and I found that fix by a fluke, could we have it enabled for

For a reason I can't determine, all the emails in my Evolution Action
folder have lost their labels. I am not aware of having done anything to
cause this, and couldn't find a similar bug or problem that anyone else

As an additional note, it seems to vary quite dramatically depending on
the disc. Some discs rip at an almost normal rate, whereas others seem
to go much more slowly. Yet some of the discs that rip slowly don't
appear to have any damage, etc. Very odd, but there we go!

I'm experiencing the same issue. However, I didn't have this same
problem under Gutsy 32-bit. I'm now running Hardy 64-bit, and have
noticed my ripping speeds drop from about 12-14x down to about 5x or so.

To add to what Jaile said, you can get Best Shapes to operate in
Openoffice while having subpixel smoothing in the rest of your apps.
Before starting Openoffice, change from Subpixel Smoothing to Best
shapes under Appearance Preferences>Fonts. Once Openoffice is loaded,
switch back to Subpixel Smoo

EXT3 is writing more often than is optimal, could we have reports from
people who use other file systems like JFS or XFS or ReiserFS? If
