Tim, you're right, this output seems to be very normal indeed. Actually, the output I posted in #4 was when the icon bar was in the middle; I rebooted and the icon bar now is on the left side (good thing!), but typing xrandr -q, now it identically gave me the same normal output. xrandr -q
