I am doing an upgrade from Mythbuntu 14.04 LTS to Mythbuntu 16.04 LTS
and the error occurs very near the end of the upgrade.

to the Mythbuntu 16.04 Release Notes about disabling the tweaks.
Post upgrade, the mysql version will need to be checked and a fixed mysql

I just had the same problem on a default Ubuntu 13.10 install.
I have an HP LaserJet P1102 that worked on Ubuntu 12.10.
On 13.10 the test page would print but no applications would print. The
job would be stuck in the queue.
After unplugging and plugging the printer a few times with no success,
I have removed MOTU from the subscribed users as it got no attention from them.
I have subscribed the Ubuntu Kernel Team instead.

However, I just tried running gparted with an Imation 4 GB stick straight from
the packaging.
lsusb shows:

I was going to put dban on it, and I get a crash similar to the one in
the bug description:
I was getting this problem when installing 10.10 onto an ASUS K52F notebook
from a USB stick prepared by UNetbootin on Windows XP SP3.
I could run the Live CD, and gparted would segfault when run from the command
line.
The GUI install just hangs.

I found I can trigger the bug while simply being in the Live environment.
I can switch to the console (Ctrl+Alt+F2), but when I switch back to X
(Ctrl+Alt+F7), there is just a mess of graphical corruption and it goes to the
login screen after than.

The following is without the two tv tuners installed:
I installed mythbuntu 8.10 with current updates to today.
Installed the nvidia-180-modaliases and used enyng to install the nvidia driver
(180).
I then unselected the mythtv front end from autostarting in the xfce4 autostart
manager.
My previous post was based on mythbuntu 9.04 Alpha 3.

Installer fails on partition setup and shows wrong
I downloaded the Mythbuntu Alpha 5, and the text is now correct.
It did complain about the XFS partition, stating it would not know about
the change until the next reboot. Unfortunately I was running the
installer from boot, not from within the Live environment, so did not
get the exact error.

Using Ubuntu 8.10. Now it simply errors out before writing to the blank disk.
I hear the drive spin up, then the error occurs and I'm prompted to make
another copy or close the dialogue.
Bug 283316 might be compounding this, so I'm waiting for that to be fixed
before doing another test.

Sorry, they're quite large; I didn't realise until I uploaded them. The second
two files have been resized to 75% original size.
The quirk created for bug 233787 does select the correct resolution with the
DVI VGA converter, but it shows two screens available for
@Lorenzo Z.
I'm on hardy (8.04.1).

Can you describe your setup in more detail?
Eee Box is directly connected to a Philips 170B LCD monitor via the DVI
port.
When the DVIVGA converter is used, it's attached

Ok. I ask because I gather the hardware is essentially identical to the Eee PC
1000H, minus the embedded LCD screen; I have no evidence though, without an
lspci dump.
