I made the log @ 512kb and it was too big so I tried @ 1024kb, and it is
still hitting the limit. I have attached the 1024kb log file here, let
me know if I should try it bigger still.

OK I've done that in Intrepid Alpha 5 (was upgraded from Alpha 4, which
was still not working) and in Hardy. As expected, the battery was

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
The battery status is no longer shown in intrepid. The power manager
always states that the laptop is running on AC power regardless. Was
previously working in gutsy + hardy.
I suspect this is the problem:

The FLAC files are really quite large... And especially as the bug only
appears when you are adding multiple files (in this case, drag-dropping
whole directory).
Do you have any you can try for yourself? K3b makes flac pretty easy

I've tried it with some ogg files and the same result.
Interestingly, if I add the files individually, the tags get read
properly on them straight away. If I remove all the files from the
project and then add the directory in one hit, it all works as expected.
In order to get it to work like this,

This should really be fixed. I've lost data because I expected the same

In my opinion should be upped in priority!
