the Software Center tells me that there is no such package as "skype"
when I disable the partner repository (and run sudo apt-get update).
Also uninstalling app-install-data-partner made no difference.

While this opens a new process:

I have debugged gedit a bit while the instance opened from dash was running:

I have exactly the same problem with KeePassX in oneiric. The setxkbmap
workaround works. But how can this command been run automatically?

I can confirm that the keepassx icon disappears. currently I cannot get it all.
Hopefully it will work after a restart again.
