und resume now works fine without any workarounds on a Samsung P35 XVM

I found a workaround for the problem described above (at least it works on my
computer, too):

Make sure you have a recent
/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/20-video-quirk-pm-
samsung.fdi (from hal-info package) installed.
After trying to resume from standby the machine doesn't react on network
requests (e.g. ping or ssh).

Public bug reported:
Machine (Samsung P35 XVM III) suspends to RAM, after pressing the power
button to resume the computer from standby HDD spins up, but screen
keeps either black or shows "psychedelic" patterns.
Hibernation / suspend-to-disk works without problems.

I am using the 'radeon' DRM driver, not a nvidia driver. Neither using a
different driver (vesa) nor stopping the X server and unloading the
radeon and drm kernel modules did help, behavior is still the same.
Since I don't use any nvidia driver, this problem is probably is caused
by something else

Got almost the same problem with a Samsung P35 XVM III.
Computer suspends to RAM, after pressing the power button to resume the
computer HDD spins up, but screen keeps either black or shows
