I can confirm this bug. The interesting bit I have to add, is that my
second screen is not connected through the same videocard, but from the
Hauppauge 350 tv-card's tv out (using the ivtvfb module). The results
are exactly the same as described above.

I am experiencing a similiar problem, also after upgrading Feisty to
Gutsy with Adept. When I start Kopete, the icon appears in the tray, but
I cannot open the program. The CPU load goes to 100 % and I have to kill
the process. When launching Kopete from the terminal, I don't get any
error messages
I confirm this bug. Same error message.

The fix also does not work perfectly for me (Abit AB9 Pro board with
Jmicron and ICH8 controllers).
I did manage to install the daily build of April 1th with the
"pci=biosirq" option in the bootloader. Feisty boots now, but only with
pci=biosirq noapic nolapic acpi=of options in grub.

I stumbled on this bugreport when searching for a solution for random
system freezes in Edgy. I *think* the step-by-step of jens went alright,
but it's bothering me that none of the swap is being used. The output of
swapon -s for example:
