I can confirm this. It is really really annoying, as it displays over
the top and bottom bar (so i can't access the other applications via the
task bar). When you start it seems it only sometimes get displayed as
fullscreen.
If you need a screenshot I'll be happy to provide it.

Can also confirm this. Changing the status from pidgin updates the fast-
user-switch-applet, but not the other way around. If you need further

It seems that disabling the nvidia restricred driver will let me suspend
succesfully, so the problem is in linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24,
mainly nvidia-glx-new (That's what the procedure in debugging kernel
suspend was supposed to tell me, right?). The workaround in #123104
doesn't seem to work.

somehow, on Feisty Fawn i did manage to solve this problem, using a
strange combination of settings which i don't remember any more :(
Now on a fresh install of Gutsy Gibbon, suspend doesn't work anymore,
showing the colored screen once again on every resume.

While using the default session (with compiz as a wm), i can't get my games to
run in either wine or cedega.
On switching to failsafe Gnome (with metacity), they do run (there wasn't any
problem with this on feisty).
