It seems that disabling the nvidia restricred driver will let me suspend succesfully, so the problem is in linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24, mainly nvidia-glx-new (That's what the procedure in debugging kernel suspend was supposed to tell me, right?). The workaround in #123104 doesn't seem to work.
