I can also confirm the problem with Evolution not being able to show the
Google address book (contacts) right from the start. The workaround of
killing the /usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook-factory while Evolution is
running works. However this cannot be a permanent solution!

The LiVES translation in Launchpad [1] seems to be outdated/unused (at
least for the German language: 2116 untranslated strings). I can't find
the string »Eine unzul…« shown in the screenshot.

And also VERY frustrating: The Gwibber service seems to make the whole
system (single core, 1 GB RAM) unresponsive(!) every 15 mins. (standard
update interval for Gwibber). The only service I have connected with

you have to completely disable(!) the Gwibber service. It makes the
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-Bit system (fully updated up to now) unuseable by

I can confirm this problem of a partly untranslated computer-janitor in
Maverick for German localization, too. The corresponding string was
translated to German on 2010-09-03 [1] but shows up in english in

I just tested it in Maverick (fully updated) and with a German

In current Natty Beta, fully updated, computer-janitor has no icon in
gnome-control-center. Maybe that's because of a missing high-resolution
icon? I'll change the status of this bug to »confirmed« now. Please see
the attached screenshot.

I've just updated Natty Beta and was trying to test the date and time
displayed in the panel. Now – the German translation seem to be released
(because I can see a change, that we, German translators made in the
relevant strings [1] [2]) but real testing can NOT be done because the
date time

Time and Date Settings don't load
Addendum: NOW, after a restart AND wating forever in the terminal window
after entering »indicator-datetime-preferences« (where nothing happend)
the dialog appeas when clicking on the menu entry of the date/time
indicator in the panel.
What a strangeness.
