[Bug 884961] [NEW] Add patch request : adjust OSD position according to matte

2011-11-01 Thread Devport
Public bug reported: When adjusting the matte the OSD will be cropped. This results in OSDs like the volume bar etc not being visible in i.e. 16:9 mode. The tvtime bug is outlined at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detailaid=945629group_id=64301atid=506987 A working patch has

I built the oneiric package on oneiric and 2 of 4 hunks were rejected but that patch works even without those parts. I thought it might not be to hard to sync the patch to the oneiric patchset. However - I must report that the patch avoids the OSD being cut off at 16:9 display but it becomes so

The second issue is not a problem at least not for the hack around since it appears in my log as well. See my post about sound - it should help you get sound working under old kernels as well. I see only 2 ways for you to get newer kernels working.

Glad that it worked for you. But this is only a workaround - the actual bug is not fixed. Kernels 2.6.28 have a bug in tuner detection which probably breaks many cards - so the bug shouldnt be closed... -- saa7134 tuner card does not work with kernel 2.6.31
