I found out the problem, at least for me. I was running quantal kernel with old
precise xorg.
Upgrading to LTS raring kernel and LTS raring xserver solved the problem. I

hex and stored in p4-clockmod.ko as 81969800 a simple search for it

Well I've tried to use the gnome-alsamixer with the new Sound Preferences. It
seems that the sound prefs applet works correctly and controls the selected
microphone chanel and capture chanel correctly.
I've just tested it further and it seems pulse audio does not detect the
available input

Thanks I finally could solve the problem by unloading
module-cork-music-on-phone and module-x11-cork-request.
I've used pactl list and pactl unload-module magic id to find the module id
and then to remove them. Is there an easier way to do that?

My comment on SATA DVD writing issues seems to bee invalid. I've
compiled a new kernel for myself without SATA PMP. The softreset issue
has gone, but I had to replace the SATA cable to DVD and now it works.
Also I still experience random slowdowns but it happens only when I play some
audio.
Now
It seems this bug affects SATA CD/DVD burning as well, that means it is very
likely that you burn saucers instead of usable disks. At the middle of disk
writing the following entries appears in system log:

So it seems the problem is that the port multiplier code doesn't really
like the new generation of AMD SATA 7xx controllers.
if I could vote I would turn off the CONFIG_SATA_PMP by default or make
