XUbuntu 24.04 (at least) says: "Thunderbird is now distributed as a Snap
package" 22.04 was not and TB worked. So most likely TB on 24.04 will

I'm not sure why the user authentication is failing for you with
go-l2tp's kl2tpd, you could try disabling all of the authentication
methods in the PPP settings other than MSCHAPv2.
You could also try switching to xl2tpd and see if you have the same

I cloned the vim github repo and did a default build (version 8.2.4014),
that version of vim does not exhibit any of this odd behavior. Seems
likely that either something has fixed this upstream or else Ubuntu
20.04 vim build enables some feature that causes this.

/usr/share/wayland-sessions/sway.desktop executes sway directly, not via
a login shell, so /etc/profile is not sourced. Additionally, when the
user opens a terminal (by default via x-terminal-emulator), this is not
a login shell, so the user's ~/.profile is not sourced either.

"Frequent" button) has crash and no longer shows all applications.
