I have recently switched to using wayland ahead of the X11 support
removal in gnome. I had a file conflict recently while copying files in
nautilus and noticed that the conflicting file name is not being shown
and I had to press the buttons blindly.

I think I found out the cause, I had Ubuntu Dock enabled while having
Dash to Panel enabled. Ubuntu Dock may have been turned on during

I have uninstalled nautilus (purge option) and reinstalled. The issue
persists on my machine. Is there anything I can give you to help out?

Should I try to "reinstall" nautilus? Remove it including settings and

As far as my testing went, this affects VS COde, Azure Data Studio, MS
Teams and Skype. Using --no-sandbox or even --disable-gpu-sandbox allows
all these to launch.

This fiddling solves the problem momentarily. Logging out and in again

When installing Ubuntu via the installer, after selecting your keyboard
layout, it doesn't change until the install has completed. This is
problematic, as when inputting information into the installer, such as
PC hostname and username / password, the default (US) keyboard layo
After reading the above comment, I checked if there was a BIOS update. I
updated to the latest BIOS and now I can boot fine.
