I had to do a complete re-install of 9.04 after a failed 9.10 install
hosed up my box. I did not install the backports modules this time (as I
did initial) and I have not had any issues. I have upgrade the kernel
once since the re-install and all worked fine. I am wondering if there

modinfo: could not find module ath5k_pci. Also, I am attaching the

This happens each time I upgrade the linux image through the Update-
Manager. I upgrade, restart, and then there are no wireless networks
detected or even wlan0 as an option in my interface list. I have gotten
it to work in the past by running the previous image instead of

I am having the same issue on my brand-spanking new Acer Aspire 1/Ubuntu
9.04. I hear my music and radio fine in Rhythmbox. Just no sound on
YouTube. I have tried the above solutions and no joy.

Just to add an level of intrigue, I used the Firefox Video
Downloadhelper extension to download a video from Youtube. It defaults
to a .flv file. Downloaded it and played it back from my hard drive...
