another update. In gnome Alsa Mixer, theer are bunch of checkboxes at the
bottom. I unchecked IEC958 Default PCM and checked one of the two options for
IEC958. It seems to mostly eliminate the buzz. I sometimes here it very
faintly, and clicking on a level in gnome alsa mixer fixes it, but
darn, no luck. buzz came back

I have found what seems to be a permanent solution. In Gnome Alsa Mixer,
turn your Digital channel down all the way and the buzzing goes away
and doesn't seem to come back. I am at 24 hours+ and counting

permanently

Can't seem to get it to fix permanently
But just tinkering with the LFE level ( up or down)fixes it instantly for a
short while. , even if a stream is playing;

I changed from Hardy x86 to Intrepid amd64, originally copied over my
hidden folders in /home, and Nautilus is behaving oddly on two fronts in
regards to shell scripts:
1. It will not load scripts that are located in ~/.gnome2/nautilus-
Well... I did another reinstall and wipe ~/.nautilus again... and it has
started working!
