During the composition of a mail and selecting the addressees, evolution
proposes a dynamic list of values as you type.
While "all" addressees applicable are shown and while it is possible to choose
on of them, evolution stubbornly remembers t

Result:
Tasque is now functioning in concert with RTM. No error messages came up and no
need for additional workarounds.
In my opinion, this issue is fixed and the bug can be closed.

When I tried to remove all the NVIDIA stuff through synaptic, synaptic
told me that the mythtv packages depended on libvdpau. Maybe that's why
the nvidia driver got installed?

Tab just vanishes sometimes when clicking on it. Only happens on Ubuntu though

I am still experiencing this annoying bug in 64-bit Lucid.
My workaround is to remove the XFCE menu button from the panel and then
add it back again to restore the Other sub-menu.

This is a recent problem, never experienced it before.
I'm using XFCE as DE in Ubuntu Lucid. This laptop uses an ATI Radeon
Xpress 200M card
After I wake up my laptop, the display will show up corrupt or garbled.
As a workaround, I need to open the

I found a notebook I named with a character that the file system can't
decode. Renaming it to something else, and re-indexing solve the
problem.

Hi. I recently distro-upgraded my Karmic to Lucid.
Zim Desktop appears to be working fine, I can open my notes and access
my stuff but I just discovered that neither Search function doesn't
work.
I don't see any error messages, the dialog box appear
I tried the PPA route without reading the rest of the post. Now, it did
fixed the original Thunar selection problem but it left my XFCE deskotp
in a less than desirable state.

Thanks for such a detailed analysis of the problem. On my desktop
machine, on_ac_power returns 255 too as described by Toshio,
/proc/acpi/ac_adapter is empty.

Yes, I did read that. I have since fixed my code and continued
development. I have noticed that the gcc-objc compiler often crashes
when it tries to compile code that is syntactically incorrect. These
errors are usually obvious and easy to fix, however, it seems like the

The tsched=0 trick made it even worse for me... I can't use linphone
(via alsa via pulseaudio) anymore since upgrading to Karmic.
The sound problems could be related to the reduced timer frequency of
the Karmic kernel from 250 Hz to 100 Hz. Is there some competent person
to assess this?

The same issue seems to apply for other programs using the ALSA
interface of pulseaudio. I have extremely chopped sound when doing VoiP
(SIP). I've tried with different GUIs (linphone, ekiga, twinkle, qutecom
- almost no difference). I believe its an issue of pulseaudio.

I have the same issue. I'm using the XFCE desktop installed over Ubuntu
9.04.
This a major security issue for many of us who prefer to put their
computers on hibernate instead of shutting down. Anyone can access the
contents of the computer after resuming from hibernate or suspend.

The workaround mentioned by Hugues Haubruge worked for me as well,
however I had to try multiple times.
The warning was exactly the same message for me. After the 4th try,
firefox finally opened a new tab with the RTM security thing in it.
Confirmed to still work after re-enabling the handlers.

You're correct, Turion is the mobile 64-bit proc of AMD.
I've tried looking for a setting to disable cool n quiet in the BIOS of
the MSI s270. No such setting available.

new desktop (ie ctrl+alt+right arrow) and return to the previous one.

the system prior to upgrading from Dapper (decided to skip Edgy).
