Well, my comment is not very useful (maybe a bit) but this card works
terrible. What i've done is remove it from the laptop and buy a brand
new intel 3945 for 20$ on ebay. Problem resolved. Ubuntu loads it out of
the box and works great.

copying the .ko files to the kernel modules driver folder worked for me

working without doing a thing. So after checking dmesg I see there's a

incorrect dsdt table generated by the kernel, mostly because to bad
programmed bios, or bios too focused on microsoft windows.

the driver than the current listed here, and a driver compatible with
the 2.6.27, and they sent me this one.

I recently contacted Realtek by myself, and they kindly sent me back a
file that claims to be 2.6.27 compatible.
I have it compiled on intrepid with 2.6.27-7 driver and working without
patching (lots of warnings during compile time btw like usual). Wifi

Right now, after upgrading to the 2.6.27-7 kernel, the driver compiles,
the kernel module installs (you can get the wlan0 interface if you run
iwconfig) but you don't get any signal (if you run iwlist wlan0 scan you
don't get any wireless network available).
Anyone have the same problem?

Well, i've jumped into the pool and upgraded laptop to hardy. I can
confirm the problem is there. I've dissassembled the DSDT table, fixed a
little warning, updated using initramfs booting with
acpi_os_name="Microsoft Windows XP"... the fan works from the start
and after a period, it stops.

laptop boots on ubuntu. So what i'm doing right now is see if the fan

Sorry Ben, i've appended a wront dmesg message, looks like i had an
existing dmesg.txt and when i did sudo dmesg >> dmesg.txt the result got
added at the last of the file.
Here i've attached the correct dmesg. Was a weird issue having two
different kernels versions reported, wasn't it? :-P

On the notebook fujitsu amilo l1310g, based on ATI chipset with xpress
200m video card, when I boot with this kernel, a few seconds after the
splash screen, the fan stops and then, the cpu overheat.
If i boot with the "old" 2.6.
All right, that was it. For my case, the problem was the APIC on the
kernel on my laptop. If I boot with "noapic" added to the kernel boot
line, i can use fglrx with DRI acceleration and no usb freezing. I'm
running it since i posted the comment and working great.

Just to correct my original message. I'm using 2.6.15-25, everything is
updated on my ubuntu 6.06. Tried with propietary and original.
Just noticed it makes my wlan connection to freeze too. So actually i
lose usb connection, ethernet and wlan (not tested anything else).

restricted modules (and using 8.24 from ati binary), usb mouse randomnly
freezes (synaptic keeps working) on Fujitsu Amilo L1310G (ati x200
