I have tried removing Firefox snap and installing the deb package from
ppa:mozillateam/ppa as described at
https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2022/04/install-firefox-deb-

The variant from PPA does not have the issue in Kubuntu 22.04, it seems.

Kubuntu 22.04, updated yesterday from 20.04 on Acer E15 laptop.
Same issue: each time I start Firefox, it complains it is not the
default browser. I click "Set as Default Browser" but the next time I
start Firefox, it complains again, the same way.
I tried marking Firefox as default in the browse
In the system settings (KDE), Firefox is listed as the default browser,
but that seems to have no effect.

I checked kernel 5.11 from https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v5.11/. Unlike 5.11-rc5 I tried before, the problem did not
show up with 5.11.
The microphone is detected and seems to work OK. I'll attach the
relevant logs below.

Fn keys, reaction to lid close and reporting of battery state start
working OK after suspend-to-ram and waking up the system. So, as a
temporary workaround, I added 2-second suspend operation to run at each

With kernel 5.11-rc5 from that repository the problem persists, same as
for 5.8.0-40-generic. The internal microphone is not shown as an input
device in pavucontrol and not listed in the output of 'pacmd list-
sources'. I'll attach the logs below.
I have also checked kernel 5.10.0-051000-generic f

Looks like alsa_info.sh called by apport could not read dmesg because it
was run by a non-root user.
Just in case, I have collected the output of alsa-info.sh as root for
the kernels 5.8.0-40-generic and 5.9.0-050900-generic, will attach it
here.

Public bug reported:
According to the system settings (see the attached screenshot), the
laptop should go to sleep (suspend to RAM) when I close the lid.
However, closing the lid has no visible effect.
'systemctl suspend' works OK, choosing 'Leave' -> 'Sleep' in the menu
works too.
