I'm having the same problem with my 9700. System/Administration/Hardware
Drivers is empty. Installing
fglrx-driver causes the memory errors that were reported. I must say that this
was working fine with hardy

I just download 8.10 (i386) and I cannot install it on a clean system. I
tried twice and in both cases the installer crashed while trying to
install the grub.

I have the same crash when trying to save and I did this a a root. I
guess this is a parsing problem because it works with an old xorg.conf
but not with the one my system have after a fresh install.

I just fixed it
Logout and
rm -rf private-keys-v1.d
rm gpg.conf gpg-agent-info-rome
It's working :)
Now I don't have the private-keys-v1.d nor the gpg-agent-info-rome. I
guess the gpg-agent-info-rome was the root of the problem.

Now I have the new connection renamed, but after a reboot I have the
connection that I renamed and Auto eth0. The Auto eth0 is the
default with dhcp :( Removing Auto eth0 doesn't work.
I'm giving up, it's easier to set up the network using the old
/etc/network/interfaces

after every reboot. Ubuntu is going to be released in 7 days and I hope

I have two graphics cards, one nvidia 7300 and another nvidia 8800. The
problem (eclipse-titlebars.png) only happens with 7300. If I set
InitialPixmapPlacement=2 then I get the title bar effect in
FirefoxTitleBar.png.
