I manually recreated the missing directory, after that the install did

FindRightPackage suggests "kernel DRM driver (linux package)". Since
similar bug reports seem to be clustering on Intel CPUs that have on-

However, I wonder about the i965-va-driver on my Kabylake i5-7200u.

This is a problem for bonded interfaces. A full networking restart is
required when reconfiguring slave interfaces or bonds. The lack of
support for restarting networking then means a full host restart is
required, which is absurd. This isn't Windows.

I'm having a similar issue, but not quite the same. The display works
fine upon booting up (Kubuntu 15.10 beta 2), but if I let it go to sleep
(or turn off the TV I use as a monitor) and return, then I get no
display, and have to reset the computer to get a display back.
Just yesterday something
said in #300 that it has been fixed but still it freezes from time to

cursor locked to margin of screen when x2x from one machine to another
cursor should drift across
trying xubuntu 12.04.2 now (pretty sure its still a problem) .. trying to
upgrade xfce to the later version on xubuntu 12.04.2
@Andy's workaround (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-
tools/+bug/798414/comments/10) worked for me under Raring perfectly,
though I also ran an update, upgrade and dist-upgrade before another
autoremove, autoclean and check.
@Haw - thank you for the additional workarounds, gzip
Can confirm @John's statement - exists for me in Raring as well.
Updating to reflect occurance in Raring as well.

x2x does not work
I found that I could boot the computer reliably if I turned off ACPI
(acpi=off) in the boot string, unreliably if I set acpi=noirq. I now
can boot the computer (apparently) reliably with virtualization disabled
in the BIOS.

work. The test tones also come through the headphones while testing the
speakers but audio does not come out of the speakers. I don't think it supports
