I tried to remove netbook-launcher, and re-enable maximization and
undecoration by maximus, without the launcher it works all as expected,
I ran (from the gnome menu I added to the panel) any program I wish, it
starts maximized and without decoration, without fading to transparent!

Indeed even on my test macbook I experience this strange behaviour, do
you know if your patch will be applied to the final gutsy kernel? I
don't like to mess around with self compiled kernels on my production
computer (when I'll install gusty on it).
