accidentally left Synaptics running in the background. As soon as I

There is no bug #729348. A search with the term 'wpa_supplicant' didn't
find anything relevant.

Binary package hint: digikam
After a clean install of Kubuntu 10.10 RC I noticed digiKam wasn't
installed by default. I installed it, but the list of packages to
download included Konqueror even though 10.10's default browser is

I can confirm this is similar on my CQ50-100EM. After boot, I always
have to press the wireless button to enable it. The light then flickers
between orange and blue. I thought it might be network activity, but it
might not be.

Compaq Presario CQ50 wireless button not working
I've done some minor investigation and it seems that while the LED is
blue, my wifi is connected at 48Mb/s (according to 'iwconfig'). After a
while of being idle it drops to 1Mb/s and the LED turns orange. If I
use the network again (e.g. ping), then speed returns to 48Mb/s and the
LED turns
I don't know as I moved to apt-cacher-ng. Sorry!

I also have this issue, but only since I rebuilt the ssh server (Ubuntu Server
10.04 LTS) and created new keys. My client (Lucid) hasn't changed other than
routine updates and I don't recall any ssh ones there.
The SSH_AUTH_SOCK fix works.

I have the same problem. I have currently one client updating and the

I thought I'd join the club too! I've a boot option of 2.6.22-12-386 and
2.6.22-12-generic. Under the 'generic' kernel in
'/lib/modules/2.6.22-12-generic' I have an 'ubuntu' directory with many drivers

'lib/modules/2.6.22-12-386' I do
I have linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-12-generic but not linux-ubuntu-
modules-2.6.22-12-386, which maybe explains why my modules aren't
present. However, I do have both 386 and generic versions of the
restricted modules. But it also begs the question, why have two versions
of the same kernel

Similar to bug #76596. I recently installed Gutsy Gibon for AMD64 on my Intel

much easier than I anticipated.
Everything worked fine and after a while I was told I had updates available. I
I have to come clean here. After noticing this bug, then finding all
the hassle involved in running Firefox plugins etc under 64 bit Ubuntu,
then reading about the minimal performance difference between 64 and 32
bit, I decided to start over again and install 32 bit Gutsy. This has
just finished
