I have done a complete dist-upgrade to Lucid, so I should be using
everything in its Lucid version. I only don’t have removed Karmic’s
kernel from the install—it is still there where it was before, in /boot,
along with Lucid kernels. I always keep old kernels for a while when I
upgrade to alpha/bet
I can confirm this behaviour. It only applies to kernels from the 2.6.32
series. Kernels from the 2.6.31 series are not affected: if I start this
machine with 2.6.31-20 from Karmic (this machine has been upgraded from
Karmic), the split-screen issue doesn’t appear.
My machine is a BenQ Joybook R

on k8m800 option "AccelMethod" "EXA" doesn't work (see duplicate Bug
#267115). Option "XaaNoImageWriteRect", the second workaround proposed
in the upstream bug report does work.

same problem. is this an upstream bug or an ubuntu bug? i couldn't find

a pain without acceleration. even with the vesa driver it seems better
to me.

i'm too having this problem. after changing from 2.6.22 to 2.6.24 wlan
with rt2500 based card stopped working. i also tried a fresh hardy

i can confirm this with an acer aspire 3100. in feisty it worked, but
after upgrade to gutsy ist stopped working. ndiswrapper in my opinion
isn't a solution, since madwifi driver should work natively on linux.

i can't reproduce the error any longer, for after purging rhythmbox and
reinstalling it, it plays wma-files correctly. i don't know if this is
due to purging rhythmbox or if there has been an update. please could
anybody tell me how to mark this bug now?
