Hi, this bug also occurs to me.
I also tried the instructions from #15, and issuing get_state.sh causes Unity
to close, bailing out to the login screen.
The resulting upstart.state file is empty.

The computer initially freezed while installing updates through synaptic.
After a reboot, "dpkg --configure -a" causes init to crash as soon as it tries
to configure package libc6:amd64 version 2.18-0ubuntu-5.
This consistently happens every time I do "dpkg --configure -a".
This always occurs to me on Ubuntu 13.10 amd64, with usb-creator 0.2.50,
when trying to create a bootable usb for a daily image of 14.04.

After configuring a Bluetooth DUN connection using the wizard, it appears among
the available connections in the drop-down menu of the indicator.
However, the same connection does not show up among the Mobile broadband
connections, so it is not possible to modify its setting
I also experienced this bug a few times using kernel 3.2.0-24-generic x86_64,
but I cannot reproduce it.

The bug still occurs to me with mesa 8.0.1-0ubuntu5.
Actually, on my system it is quite easy to make compiz crash, by just
starting chromium-browser and trying to use the WebGL version of google
maps.
