Here you go. I have blanked out the IP address of the VPN gateway
machine (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) but everything else is present. I see 2
nameserver addresses being reported but only the first one being used by
dnsmasq.

I was trying to submit a bug report for the dnsmasq-base package. I
typed the following command intoa Konsole window:
ubuntu-bug dnsmasq-base
It collected some information and when I clicked on the Send button it
opened a new tab in Firefox followed by a crash window
Sorry but I am not planning on updating to 11.04 anytime soon. I will

I'd just like to add that I'm also seeing this issue. When I run
powertop it reports this:

As I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 (not Kubuntu) I don't think it is knotify or
kmix related as I don't have those processes
I have the exact same behaviour on my Dell Inspiron 9400 after a clean
install of Ubuntu 9.10. This works fine on the same laptop under Ubuntu

I gave up getting Hardy to work and jumped straight to Intrepid at

After the first suspend and resume I have noticed that the lsusb command
hangs so maybe something in the usb subsystem hasn't survived the
suspend/resume cycle and that is what causes subsequent suspends to fail
? I've attached the output from lsusb -v after a clean reboot.

I am seeing the exact same problem on my Dell Inspiron 9400, for which I
filed bug #222703. I installed 8.04 to a separate partition from my
existing 6.10 install. The 6.10 install still suspends and resumes
fine. It is definitely broken in Hardy though.

I have just tried installing the fglrx ATI driver instead of the radeon
open source driver and this made no difference. I have also tried
suspending/resuming after the following:
/etc/init.d/gdm stop
killall NetworkManager
rmmod iwl3945 iwlwifi_80211 fglrx
