I have the same bug on my Ubuntu-10.10-64bits with 2 NVIDIAs GPU and
xinerama. X crashes as soon as I open Lyx. I tried the patch and it
seems to fix the bug for me. Haven't had it crashed sinced I applied the
patch and it's been several days. When will the patch be available as a
package update? T
Yes, I get the same problem with intrepid. I also have the same issue in
opensuse 11.0, and in intrepid by using a freshly compiled 2.6.28
kernel. I can reproduce the bug without rosegarden, just by loading a
soundfont in the soundcard (using asfxload) and trying to play a note
with my midi keyboar

I just booted hardy but with an older kernel (2.6.22-14-generic) and
everything works fine there. That means that this is a bug of kernel
2.6.24. I'm not sure on how to assign this bug to kernel developpers so
if anybody knows how to do that with launchpad, feel free :-)
