I installed Konqueror on my Ubuntu 8.04 desktop and logged on within it.
I found myself logged in on the Bugs section. I jumped to both the
Launchpad Home and Answers sections and to my surprise within Konqueror
both
A few more new results: I was running Firefox 3.0.0.4, but not yet
logged on when I started up Konqueror and successfully logged on. I
then logged on within the Firefox browser and wrote my comments above.

I suspect your problem has nothing to do with KDE. I have a write up
where I had the similar problem, however, under Ubuntu 6.06 I was
mounting the other drive and /home partition using /media/[hard drive
id] as the mount point. When /media worked for fixed hard drives icons
for the
