Same bug over here; commands given in #2 helped me to get audio up and
running again.

Title:
KDE/Kubuntu: Module "module-switch-on-connect"
Public bug reported:
The recent frei0r-plugins package contains two Cairo-related transition
effects: frei0r.cairoblend and frei0r.cairoaffineblend. Unfortunately,
these both contain a bug concerning alpha transparency that shows up
when rendering video, such as from video editors like Kdenlive,
Unfortunately, UMTSmon and a direkt pppd or wvdial did not work -- I
don't know why. nm-applet works out of the box, as knetworkmanager does
when it is not broken most of the time.
plasma-widget-networkmanagement 0.9~svn1029768+ag1-0ubuntu1 gives:
knetworkmanager(1876)/Network Management
Is this an upstream KDE issue or a Kubuntu issue? I'm not clear on which
person's ballpark this is in ...

I'm unfortunately seeing the same kind of regression problems with the NM
plasma widget. My setup is as follows:
* EeePC netbook 901Go with integrated Huawei Technologies E620 USB Modem.
* Kubuntu 9.10 with 2.6.31-17-generic kernel.
* plasma-widget-networkmanagement 0.9~sn1029768+ag1-0ubuntu1

While I try to use an integrated Huawei E620 modem, the problem is
basically the same as tracked by this bug. Adding this PPA, upgrading
and rebooting: still does not work. Please find syslog entries enclosed

Asus Netbook 901Go again! The problem seems to have been that the
package mobile-broadband-provider-info was not installed. Is there a
reason why this is not automatically installed together with network
manager? Otherwise, the
Wikipedia with the new (beta) editor toolbar also breaks: it uses a
browser switch detecting Firefox, thus failing for Shiretoko.

This bug report was filed almost four years ago. This is a standard use
case: add a user to allow sharing files. And still this hasn't been
resolved? Balmer must be laughing very hard.

Bugs,
ath5k 0.6.0 which comes with 2.6.27-12-generic doesn't work on my EeePC
901Go with AR2425.
However, array.org's 2.6.27-11-eeepc with ath5k 0.5.0 *DOES* work. Any
changes of getting array.org's fixes into 2.6.27-12 generic?

Updated my Kubuntu Intrepid KDE installation today to 4.2 (final).

same problem here: upgraded using update manager but had download

Went through installation but had problems due to one corrupted package
