NUTS trying to get past the kernel bug for Ubuntu upgrades. WTF, they
call 20.04 an LTS but you cannot keep up with kernel security patches.

Tested the 1.6.1-4ubuntu0.1 version and it worked for me. After
upgrading to 19.10 and newer MySQL, the apr_dbd_mysql.so would not load.
All configuration, permissions, apache and apr-dbd packages seemed to be
the same. Found this bug and did a one off install of the apr and apr-
mysql .debs from p

Since the lastest kernel update to 2.6.38-8 to 2.6.38-10, my laptop
Toshiba Satellite Pro U300 freezes just after the boot loader. Screen is
blue, and the caps lock key keeps blincking.
Selecting the previous kernel in the boot loader launchs ubuntu as
usual.

When trying to install anything with Ubuntu Software Centre, the qeue says

That would probably be better served by an intermediate daemon that you
could locally install as it's probably not standard behavior that people
want, but I could see use cases for it.
Having multiple IPv4 servers in addition to multiple IPv6 servers is a
pretty valid use case IMO

The problem was linked to the old version of the kernel.
For an unknow reason, the ubuntu update didn't install the new kernel
(2.6.31-14-generic) but keep the old one (2.6.28).
Installing new kernel and updating grub solved the problem

I haven't check if the problem was reproductible, since I've disabled
all 3D effects (and supressed compiz) for the moment.
However, I can tell you that the video card is a Radeon Mobility 9000
(or 8500).
