Same issue here. I also have Nvidia drivers, but I have not tried
running other driver options.
I was able to run skype with the suggested cli:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/mesa/libGL.so.1 skype
otherwise I get a segmentation fault.
