Because of bug #853582, I installed the proposed gconf (3.2.2-0ubuntu1
), which seems to have solved guake's problem ---although, funnily, it
still doesn't solve bug #8535
The newest parcellite doesn't seem to affect nautilus cut/copy/paste
operations anymore... so I guess that solves the issue.

At least since Ubuntu alpha 3, nautilus requires selecting Cut/Copy
twice, otherwise the Paste option does not activate. The behavior is
the same if done from the Edit menu, the context menu or the
Ctrl+{X,C,V} keys.
I get the same behavior in both my desktop and my laptop.
I noticed that's due to the new version of python-gobject package.
Funnily, that package also seems to break apport itself (at least in my
computer).

When booting into "ubuntu classic (no effects)" and then enabling compiz
with `compiz --replace` it causes the same problem. Killing compiz

I tested the upstream kernel. The problem is there in the upstream kernel as

I've just updated to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and the problem still persists. I've
submitted the information report using apport-collect -p linux 526770.
What I'm trying to do now is to test the upstream mainline kernel. I've
