Same problem here. Downloaded large .exe successfully and viewed folder
containing the file in nautilus. Suddenly wrestool uses up all memory
(even minutes after I closed firefox and nautilus) and almost crashes my
maschine. It's the first time I have seen this tool do something and I
already hate
These are the steps that worked for me in getting closer to a fully
working Evolution (some large folders still don't load).
With latest vanilla Evolution and Exchange support from Ubuntu 10.10
already installed, shut down Evolution, then in a console:
sudo bash

In addition to this bug not being documented, there is no method to run
standard upgrade anymore. Running 'aptitude upgrade' yields the same
result as 'aptitude safe-upgrade'. Regular upgrades can only be
performed through 'apt-get upgrade' until this bug is fixed.

What, console, no?
It has nothing to do with the console in my case.
It's just when I switch off the laptop, right before the shutdown is complete
the CASPLOCK, NUMLOCK and the other LED light up and i hear *BEP* then
it powers down. Same thing when i put it to sleep: right before it done

Actually at first I wanted to phrase my opinion in a non offensive
manner, since I had already filed a bug before about a similar problem
concerning the application indicator, only to discover that my opinion
and in fact the entire bugreport was plainly ignored and the report
marked "wont fix". As

I compiled from source and privoxy did not work so I:

I have now tried all kernel version up to 2.6.29.4 AND ITS STILL THE
SAME. Wireless crashes when I open or close the laptop. Drives me nuts,
fix it god damnit!

I believe the issue is Xinerama vs RANDR. Disabling Xinerama will
probably workaround the bug (at least it does on 9.04)

system settings application crashes every time I try to run the display
panel.

Kwin "Lock Screen" function is totally kaput here.
I could a similar line on my ~/.xsession-errors every time I tried to
run the lock function from the KDE desktop or menu items.

I am having the same problem with Ubuntu Hardy and Ubuntu Intrepid
(32-bit Intel) with KVPNC and VPNC.
One of the two programs fails to cleanup the dns /etc/resolv.conf back
to its original state.
