To be honest, the realease of Hardy Heron has been such a dissappointmet
that I switched that laptop to Windows. Too many bugs. Cantplay DVDs.
Cant Rip CDs. Just too much to bother with. I don't have time to spend 2
hours a day troubleshooting a machine that isn't mine. I thank you for

Corrected issue by:
Starting Computer
Changing seesion at Login to Terminal
Running command sudo aptitude update
Running command exit
Restarting Gnome in normal mode
Panel is restored!

After last nights update EVERYTHING from my panels is gone. No time. No
weather. No Applications, Places, Administration. Nothing. I have no way
of going into a terminal from the desktop now. I could possible enter
the recovery mode and use the terminal

Happens only when Transmission is running.
Transmission is running. I leave computer for a few minutes. Screensaver
runs over Transmission. Screensaver works fine. When moving mouse to
disable screensaver the screensaver freezes. I expected the desktop to

UPDATE: Sorry to say, after this saturdays updates (03/08/2008) this bug
has resurfaced itself. When the laptop powered on after all the updates
were complete, this horrible error once again showed its ugly teeth.

corrected. The Screen Saver is functioning correctly, The Window Border
theme was recover and is functioning as well as the Icon theme. I

I have experienced Sound Juicer completely disappearing when
Preferences is selected with and without a cd inserted. No errors
appear or any messages that state that there was a crash.Its as if
choosing Prefernces is another way to close the application.
This is with Ubuntu Hardy Alpha 5. Thank
