On the Debian bug site it shows that adding wifi.hidden yes via "nmcli
connection modify wifi.hidden yes" does seem to produce a solution
but it only works one time. When I did this and restarted network
manager service I had hidden wifi connect once successfully but it
wouldn't do it again

The "Ubuntu Studio Controls" window is now visible and I can select the
Jack Master Device (no USB) "chtrt5646,0,0 playback and capture device".
But I can't start Jack from the Controls-Window. The window freezes.

Just another data point. I searched Debian packages and there is not an
associated release impacted by this issue.
Debian oldstable (stretch) ships wget 1.18 (pre-regression release). See

Just to clarify, the --force-dark-mode flag works different from the
#enable-force-dark flag.
--force-dark-mode should instruct the browser to use a dark UI layout,
i.e. menus, omnibar etc.
#enable-force-dark instructs chrome to force a dark mode for websites
using different color inversion
