I have now tried upgrading the BIOS, no difference. I guess the T60p is
just out of luck (as some of the comments also indicate).

Further digging indicates that the T60p doesn't allow the use of the
full 4GB, at least in 32 bit mode. There is no way to tell the BIOS to
use it (see screenshots attached), even with an upgrade to the newest

I can confirm the original bug as far up as Intrepid. I use a work-
around of opening the Typing Break preferences and turning off then back
on. This resets the timer. However, Typing Break itself ought to keep a
real-world timer check and reset based on real-world time as well. It's
